I’m Dania -- a proud mom of four wonderful kids. As they each began to find their own paths in life, I realized it was time for me to start a new chapter for myself. That’s when I decided to follow a long-time passion for beauty and celebration.
I’ve always found joy in planning events — from choosing the color palette to imagining the perfect décor. The process of bringing an event to life fills me with joy, and always gets me motivated for the next one. It was through this creative journey that I discovered a hidden talent within myself — a passion for floral design and creating beauty that brings happiness to others.
I began by taking a course in Event Planning at the Flower School of New York, which inspired me to dive deeper into the world of floral design. I continued my studies with a full Floral Design program from A to Z — and that’s where my dream of creating my own floral design business truly began.
Through my business, I had more opportunities to travel, and through that, I was inspired by new colors, textures and ideas from around the world. I discovered how much I love finding unique, meaningful pieces that tell a story. That’s what inspired me to expand my business and start offering a curated collection of gifts from countries across the globe.
I wanted to make it easy for people in the U.S. to share thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gifts with their loved ones — gifts that reflect beauty, joy, togetherness and the art of thoughtful design from around the world. Each piece in my collection is carefully chosen to complement the décor I love creating, making them perfect for housewarmings, holidays, or any special occasion.
I truly believe that everyone has a hidden talent waiting to be discovered. It doesn’t matter when or how — what matters is giving yourself the chance to explore, to dream, and to start something just for you. That’s how Design by Dandoun was born.
I hope that these curated pieces can continue to bring people together, to share beauty, love and laughter in households everywhere. Our differences are beautiful, and I hope that we can continue to appreciate them through these beautiful designs.
